Qorvo has announced that it has received its first production orders for recently launched multiplexer solutions and forecasts broad adoption of these multiplexer solutions in 2016. Qorvo's high-performance, highly integrated multiplexer solutions are designed to simplify and accelerate the adoption of carrier aggregation (CA) in 4G LTE-Advanced devices.
The quadplexer solutions leverage the Company's proprietary LowDrift™ BAW filter technology to deliver intrinsic performance advantages over other acoustic filter technologies. Qorvo's LowDrift™ and NoDrift™ BAW filter technologies help network operators optimize frequency spectrum and enable dramatically improved mobile data services for users of next-generation smartphones.
These multiplexers deliver low insertion loss and high cross-isolation of receive and transmit paths to optimize receive sensitivity and extend smartphone battery life. The Company's first-generation multiplexer solutions are optimized for Europe and the Asia Pacific region and integrate multiple BAW filters to cover the primary band combinations used in CA deployments: bands 1+3 and bands 39+41.
