PCTEL announced the release of its Signal Analyzer (SA) option at the NEDAS Spring In-Building Wireless Summit. The SA option is a convenient, cost-effective alternative to traditional spectrum analyzers. It converts a PCTEL SeeGull® IBflex® scanning receiver into an all-purpose portable signal analysis tool. The SA facilitates DAS verification and commissioning applications as well as most field engineering tasks.
RF engineers that already rely on a scanning receiver for data collection now have access to a cost-effective tool that performs all of the familiar functions of a spectrum analyzer. By using the Signal Analyzer option instead of a separate unit, users will be able to minimize hardware costs and complexities.
The SA features an intuitive tablet interface based on PCTEL’s SeeHawk® Touch software. The software operates on commercial tablets and receives data from the IBflex via Bluetooth. An optional adapter is available for DAS applications that require N-Type connectivity.
PCTEL is exhibiting the SA option and its full line of testing solutions at the NEDAS Spring In-Building Wireless Summit in New York, April 5-6. They will also showcase models from its VenU™ PIM160 in-building DAS antenna line.
