Gowanda Electronics, a business unit of Gowanda Components Group (GCG), announced that their capabilities for the design and manufacture of inductors and other passive components are expanding in connection with their parent company’s acquisition of Butler Winding in Butler, PA.
Butler’s products and capabilities complement Gowanda’s and give them the opportunity to enhance and grow their high performance inductor offerings in the global marketplace. The synergy in their designs and applications will enable them to provide a broader range of innovative passive component solutions to design engineers in commercial, medical, microwave, military, space and other markets around the world.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed but it is anticipated that the company will relocate from Butler, PA to GCG's facilities in Arcade, NY in the near future. This is the fourth acquisition GCG has made in the last five years.
