The SeeHawk Engage™ mobile network performance testing tools from PCTEL have now been integrated with iBwave Mobile Planner and iBwave Mobile Note. iBwave develops software solutions for smarter planning, design, and deployment of in-building wireless solutions. Engineers can use the combined system to simultaneously create a baseline of the existing RF environment and design wireless networks in the field. This field-based testing and design method reduces costs and speeds up the deployment of small cell and in-building networks.
SeeHawk Engage and iBwave tools can operate on any commercial Android device. Engage collects customer experience data from one or more Android devices and passes it to iBwave in real time. For a more complete and accurate baseline of the network, Engage can also collect data from their IBflex® scanning receiver. iBwave uses the baseline established by Engage for analysis, including predictive mapping, and design. SeeHawk Engage also automatically stores data in the cloud for future analysis.
To take full advantage of the low cost and higher volumes of small cells, operators and venue owners need a different approach to design and optimize their networks. SeeHawk Engage is a valuable complement to iBwave’s network design tools as it enables customers to further streamline the deployment process of small cell networks.
In addition to iBwave integration, the latest release of SeeHawk Engage features an updated user interface with improved project workflows. The workflows speed the setup process and make it easier to conduct baseline and other testing throughout the network lifecycle.
