Vida RF has introduced a new line of 4.3-10 connectors/adapters. The new 4.3-10 connector standard has been designed and built to maximize performance advantages and control PIM for maximum efficiency.
Key features of the 4.3-10 Connectors are:
- 40% Smaller and 60% Lighter than DIN Connectors allowing for reduced tower loads and costs.
- Allow for more antenna connections in tighter spaces with virtually PIM-free performance.
- It helps operators increase RF density, improving network capacity and strengthening the bottom line.
- It supports more spectrum - including soon-to-be-released frequencies—so operators can add spectrum without replacing infrastructure.
The size of a particular connector has a major impact in today demanding applications. Most on roof installations require much lighter products and therefore we see a trend towards miniaturization of RRHs (Remote Radio Heads). Additionally, the space available for RF ports is shrinking, and MIMO antenna systems require more antenna lines. Furthermore; reduced footprint and a higher number of ports requires connectors which can be positioned closer together without the need for tools such as torque wrenches.
As the network demand continues to rise, operators find themselves squeezed between a limited capacity to improve existing sites and the prohibitive costs of building new ones. Improving sites means working within limited physical space and keeping PIM as low as possible. This is a challenge when working with more antennas and more connections.
The 4.3-10 Mini DIN series of coaxial connectors were developed to meet the growing demands of today’s high performance mobile communications system. The connectors guarantee excellent return loss and passive intermodulation performance (PIM) levels. In addition to their performance, these connectors are a much more compact when compared with 7/16 or N Type connectors allowing for higher connector density on equipment while reducing the weight up to 60%.
