PCTEL Extends Frequency Range of Scanning Receivers to 6 GHz

PCTEL's IBflex scanning receivers are now available with an expanded range of 10 MHz to 6 GHz. These scanning receivers provide high quality real-world RF measurements needed to build, tune, troubleshoot, and expand commercial wireless networks. The expanded range allows for testing of public safety networks in the 150 MHz and 450 MHz bands. It also facilitates LTE testing in the 450 MHz band, as well as testing of unlicensed 5 GHz spectrum. Unlicensed spectrum will be used for sharing of cellular network signals with Wi-Fi using LTE-U and LTE-LAA technologies.

Interest in testing public safety networks has increased recently, especially for the purpose of ensuring coverage in critical indoor locations such as stairwells, elevator lobbies, and fire pump rooms. Essential public safety services require the sort of accurate testing that only scanning receivers like the IBflex can provide. The IBflex with expanded 10 MHz to 6 GHz range is currently available directly from PCTEL or through current distribution channels. Click here to learn more.
