Skyworks Solution has appointed Steven C. Machuga as its next Vice President of Worldwide Operations. Machuga has been an integral part of Skyworks from 1999, previously serving as the Vice President of External Manufacturing and Operations engineering division. He has also played important role in the company’s process and product development sectors as well as operations strategy and executions.
Steven C. Machuga holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s in Chemical engineering and Material Science from the University of Connecticut, will be replacing Bruce Freyman, who led the worldwide operations from 2005, and will now serve on the advisory panel for a transitional period. Speaking on the occasion, Liam K. Griffin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Skyworks, said, that Steve has been a tremendous asset to Skyworks and the company now looks forward to leverage his skill-sets and capabilities as their value for solutions continue to expand across mobile and Internet of Things ecosystems. According to him, Steve’s extensive manufacturing background coupled with deep process knowledge will be invaluable in taking Skyworks to the next level of operational efficiency.
