New 4G Watch for Kids Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Processor

Xiaotiancai, the Chinese developer of wearables for kids, will soon be launching the Xiaotiancai Z3 smart-watch based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform. Since the introduction of their first Y01 watch for kids in 2015, Xiaotiancai has led the growth of the kid watch segment in China and has become a leading provider globally.

The Xiaotiancai Z3 is one of the first kids watches in the industry to be powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform, which has been specially designed to meet the needs of the emerging 4G kid watch segment. It is engineered to support 4G multi-mode with bi-directional calling and delivers reliable indoor and outdoor positioning through a combination of Wi-Fi, GPS and 4G location triangulation techniques.

The Z3 is based on Android, which has been optimized to minimize power and deliver ever-growing experiences across safety, social, education, and messaging for kids. It has been designed to seamlessly communicate with their parents phones so that they can always be in touch.

A key value proposition of Xiaotiancai Z3 is its swimming-level water proof design, which makes it the first kid’s connected watch with this feature. Additionally, with the support of quick charging, it is expected to provide superior thermal performance and battery life. The watch is expected to be available in China sometime in July 2017.
