Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation’s CEO Jim Cable was chosen as “Most Admired CEO” in the category of large public companies, an honor bestowed annually by the San Diego Business Journal. More than 100 San Diego CEOs were nominated for the award, in the categories of Business Nonprofit, Nonprofit Organization, Public Companies, and Private Companies. The winners were announced at an exclusive reception and awards program on December 6, and published in the December 10 issue of the San Diego Business Journal.
“My name may be on this award, but it is the employees of Peregrine who earned it,” said Cable. “We ship millions of radio frequency integrated circuits a week out of our Sorrento Valley corporate headquarters, and we have expanded our local workforce significantly in the last year to make that happen. Additionally, we announced a successful IPO in August. None of this would be possible without our dedicated, hard-working employees. I am honored to accept this award on behalf of the entire Peregrine team.”
“This is our sixth year recognizing San Diego’s most exceptional leaders,” said Randy Frisch, President and Publisher of the San Diego Business Journal. “These individuals are not only hard-working, innovative business people—they are model citizens who truly exemplify what it means to be a San Diego Business Journal ‘Most Admired CEO.’ These CEOs drive their businesses and the local economy, as well as make San Diego a great place to live.”
