Richardson RFPD, Inc. today announces its attendance and participation at the 2013 Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC). APEC focuses on the practical and applied aspects of the power electronics business, and it draws attendance from all facets of the industry, from manufacturers, designers and suppliers, to individuals involved in marketing and sales.
Richardson RFPD will be found at Booth 710 at the Long Beach Convention Center in California from the 17 to the 23rd of March.
At the exhibition, Richardson RFPD will feature a selection of Silicon Carbide (SiC) discrete devices and modules, including Schottky diodes and MOSFETS, as well as SiC and hybrid modules from industry-leading manufacturers Cree, Microsemi, Powerex and Vincotech.
Silicon carbide offers significant advantages in high power, high voltage applications where power density, higher performance and reliability are of the utmost importance. Industrial applications like solar inverters, welding, plasma cutters, fast vehicle chargers, and oil exploration are a few examples that benefit from the higher breakdown field strength and improved thermal conductivity that SiC offers over silicon material (Si).
Richardson RFPD design advisors will also be at the booth, offering support and solutions for attendees' design visions and questions.
