M/A-COM Technology Solutions has launched a new broadband general purpose amplifier for Multi-market applications. This Versatile Amplifier Boasts Excellent Broadband Performance for Easy and Efficient Implementation into Multiple Applications.
The MAAM-011101 is designed for customers who need a versatile, broadband, low cost and ultra-small amplifier solution for WiFi, WiMax, IMS, Point to Point, Electronic Warfare and Aerospace and Defense applications. Unlike competing parts the MAAM-011101 is packaged in a convenient plastic 1.5x1.2 TDFN, while still providing superior broadband performance over its nearest alternatives. The ultra-small size allows real estate constrained customers an excellent and simple biasing solution for a variety of applications.
The MAAM-011101 is fabricated using a GaAs process which features full passivation for increased performance and reliability. The amplifier boasts typical gain of 16dB with +18dBm of P1dB performance. The input and output are fully matched to 50? with a typical return loss of 12dB. The device requires a minimum of +5V for standard operation over the 4GHz – 20GHz frequency band - altogether providing customers with an excellent multipurpose solution.
