Altum RF, is a new fabless semiconductor company that is designing high-performance millimeter-wave to digital solutions for next generation markets and applications. The company works with a wide range of global partners to significantly shorten product development cycles by managing the entire supply chain from design to packaging, testing and qualification. They develop semiconductor solutions for Telecom, Satcom, RADAR Sensors, Test & Measurement, Aerospace & Defense or Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) applications.
The company was founded by Greg Baker who also acts as the CEO. As founder and CEO, Mr. Baker brings more than 25 years’ experience to Altum RF in the RF and microwave semiconductor industry, including component design, business development, marketing and sales. With his extensive experience, Mr. Baker provides a clear understanding of product development, operations and supply chain management, customer partnerships, sales channels and strategic marketing.
Most recently Greg Baker was at MACOM as Senior Vice President and General Manager of their RF & Microwave Business Unit. Before this he served as Chief Executive Officer of Nitronex, LLC (Which was acquired by MACOM). Prior to that, he was General Manager of RF Small Signal Products at NXP Semiconductors and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mimix Broadband, Inc. Earlier in his career, he held numerous technical and managerial positions at Sirenza Microdevices over ten years, including Vice President of International Sales, Vice President and General Manager of the Standard Products Unit, Vice President of Engineering, and Senior Director of Marketing.
He holds a BSEE from Texas A&M University, an MSEE from Georgia Tech and an MS in Global Finance from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology/New York University Stern School of Business.
