New Ultra Low Noise GaAs Amplifiers Operate from 10 to 17 GHz

Custom MMIC has added two new low noise amplifiers, to their growing product line - The CMD167 and the CMD167P3. Both amplifiers are ideally suited for Electronic Warfare and communications systems where small die size and low power consumption are needed.

The CMD167 is an efficient, ultra low noise GaAs MMIC amplifier that operates from 10 to 17 GHz.  At 14 GHz this amplifier has a gain of over 15 dB, an output P1dB of 11 dBm and a noise figure of 1.8 dB. It is available in the form of a bare die for hybrid assemblies. The CMD167P3 is the packaged version of the amplifier which operates from 8 to 16 GHz, it has similar electrical specifications i.e 15 dB Gain, 11 dBm P1dB and 1.8 dB NF. It is available in a 3x3 mm leadless plastic surface mount package. The amplifiers require a single positive supply voltage for operation and they are both matched to 50 Ohms, thereby eliminating the need for external DC blocks and RF port matching.
