Cinch Connectivity Introduces Precision Torque Wrenches for RF Connectors

Cinch Connectivity Solutions, a Bel group company, has announced the availability of new Johnson precision torque wrenches. These wrenches for 1.85mm, 2.4mm, 2.92mm3.5mm and SMA stainless steel and brass connectors are used to properly install and remove RF connectors and components from RF devices and test equipment.

Cinch is offering Johnson torque wrenches at torque ratings of 8 inch-pounds for stainless steel and 5 inch-pounds for brass connectors, with both rated to IEEE P287-2007. At millimeter-wave frequencies, proper precision tightening of components is critical to achieve the desired performance specs. Johnson torque wrenches also promote proper usage to avoid over or under-tightening, which can damage connectors and associated equipment, and helps to lengthen the life of the connector.

Bel designs, manufactures and markets a broad array of products that power, protect and connect electronic circuits. These products are primarily used in the networking, telecommunications, computing, military, aerospace, transportation and broadcasting industries.
