Teledyne Lecroy, a provider of oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers and related test and measurement solutions, has launched a single measurement tool for hardware designers and test engineers, with all the features and capabilities that VNAs and TDRs lack. The high-speed WavePulser 40iX Interconnect Analyzer is a single device that measures in both frequency and time domains.
Covering the full frequency range from DC to 40 GHz, the WavePulser 40iX High-speed Interconnect Analyzer calculates both single-ended and mixed-mode S-parameters from one acquisition. Users just need to change the settings and recalculate results without having to reacquire them. The analyzer can also validate, debug and troubleshoot interconnectivity issues in serial data cables, channels, connectors, vias, backplanes, printed-circuit boards, chip, and SoC packages.
The WavePulser 40iX delivers TDR step response and time-gated and/or emulated physical-layer responses with no need for extrapolation to DC and low frequencies ideal for interconnection systems.
This product also features a built-in calibration standard due to which there is no need to purchase additional external calibration equipment. It makes calibration automated, simple, and fast. The TDR/TDT-based approach is independent of setup, making calibration less likely.
