The R&S ATS800B is an OTA Antenna Test System designed for 3GPP-approved 5G module testing in the mm-Wave bands. It supports frequencies from 18 to 87 GHz (Reflector: 20 to 50 GHz, Feed Antenna: 18 to 87 GHz) with a measurement range within 0.8 m2. This system provides far-field over-the-air (OTA) testing based on compact antenna test range (CATR) technology and uses a reflector surface for high quiet zone accuracy of up to 20 cm.

The R&S ATS800B provides an ideal environment for 5G antenna, module and device characterization throughout the entire process starting from research to design verification for both active and passive devices. When combined with the R&S test system, it ensures fast and smooth measurements in the lab and provides optimized capabilities for determining a 5G device’s antenna performance and characteristics in the millimeter-wave range. This system is available as a compact benchtop unit that measures 47.24 × 23.62 × 31.50 inches with 2 x 2.4 mm connectors.
