The GAJT-AE-N from Novatel is a GPS Anti-Jam Antenna System for the GPS (L1/L2), QZSS (L1/L2), SBAS (L1), and Galileo (E1) bands. It has been designed for size and weight-constrained applications such as small airborne and ground unmanned platforms, where it is preferable to mount the antenna electronics inside the vehicle. This commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) anti-jam system is compatible with legacy and modern GNSS receivers and has a wide bandwidth, ensuring compatibility with M-code GPS receivers. It needs to be connected to a controlled reception pattern antenna (CRPA).
The GAJT-AE-N includes RF front-end modules and null-forming electronics. It uses a proprietary adaptive digital nulling algorithm to create nulls in the antenna gain pattern in the direction of jammers, providing significant anti-jam protection even in dynamic multi-jammer environments. This system provides a protected standard RF output signal, free from jamming and suitable for transmission in modern and legacy GNSS receivers. It provides an interference suppression of 40 dB in three different spatial directions with a gain of 40 dB.
The GAJT-AE-N requires a DC supply from 10 to 32 V and consumes 15 W of power. It is available in an enclosure that measures 179.5 x 155.5 x 39 mm with SMA connectors and built in test and jamming status included in RS-232 output. The anti-jam system has a Canadian Controlled Goods export approval.
