The 8230AJ from Safran is a GPS/GNSS Anti-Jam Outdoor Antenna solution that operates from 1559 to 1606 MHz. It is designed to cover GPS L1, GLONASS L1, BeiDou L1, Galileo L1, and QZSS L1 frequency bands. This conical antenna provides a gain of 40 dB and out-of-band rejection of more than 50 dB. It integrates a three-stage low noise amplifier, a mid-section SAW, and a tight pre-filter to protect against saturation due to high levels of sub-harmonics and L-band signals. This IP-67-rated antenna offers a drop-in replacement solution for outdoor environments to provide a robust design for use in high interference conditions. It can reject signals from the lower elevation angles where most of the interference occurs and only receives signals from higher elevation angles, thereby improving the performance for given timing accuracy.
The 8230AJ offers a high degree of protection against dust and water and has a cylindrical radome manufactured using high-impact UV stabilized polycarbonate to protect from rain, snow, and salt spray effects. It is available in a weather-proof enclosure that measures 100.0 x 127.2 mm with N-type (female) connectors.
