The DG800 Pro Series from Rigol are Multi-Functional Dual-Channel Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWG) that operate up to 50 MHz. These generators combine multiple functions such as a function generator, arbitrary waveform generator, noise generator, pulse generator, harmonic generator, analog/digital modulator, and frequency meter. They have a sample rate of 625 MSa/s with a vertical resolution of 16 bits and a waveform length of 2 Mpts/channel (8 Mpts/channel optional), thereby resulting in a more accurate waveform output for entry-level signal sources. These AWGs can generate different types of waveforms including sine, square ramp, pulse, noise, arbitrarily-designed waveforms, and harmonic signals. They provide 40 MHz square wave and 25 MHz adjustable edge pulse wave output with waveform rise time as low as 3 ns, which meets the waveform requirements of different applications.
The DG800 Pro include multiple modulation functions such as AM, FM, PM, ASK, FSK, PSK, PWM, and SUM. They integrate a harmonic generator that is capable of generating up to 20th order harmonics to provide a more accurate test method for devices such as higher-order filters and amplifiers. These generators support sequence mode which allows the use to load multiple test cases (64 waveform events and 256 repetitions) to be conducted sequentially, thus greatly improving testing efficiency through achieving seamless switching of test cases. They have a 7-inch touch screen display that allows simple clicking and concurrent configuring of dual-channel waveforms. These AWG’s can be controlled via LAN, USB host/device, or web interfaces. They require a DC supply of 15 V and consume 3 A of current. The DG800 Pro are available in enclosures that measure 266 x 165 x 80 mm and is ideal for test workbench applications.
