The SHF 12105 A + SHF 614 C from SHF Communication Technologies is a combination of a 64 Gbps Bit Pattern Generator (BPG) and a 60 GBaud 6-Bit Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). The BPG-DAC combination operates as a non-interleaved 60 GBaud Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) with a remote head to preserve signal integrity close to the DUT.
The SHF 12105 Bit Pattern Generator generates digital bit sequences such as pseudo-random bit sequences (PRBS) or user-defined bit patterns. This BPG supports 2, 4, 6, or 8 individual single-ended/differential data output channels with operating bit rates from 6 to 64 Gbps to achieve an aggregated bit rate of up to 512 Gbps. It includes standard patterns such as JP03A, JP03B, QPRBS13, PRBS13Q, PRBS31Q, SSPRQ, transmitter linearity, SSPR, etc., and can be generated with combined signals. This generator supports skew adjustment and bit shift for each differential output. It is ideal for single-channel, multi-channel, multi-level multi-channel, and AWG applications.
The SHF 12105 A can be controlled remotely via an Ethernet interface either by use of the SHF Control Center software provided by SHF or by custom software. It is available in an enclosure that measures 600 x 480 x 150 mm and is suitable for many R&D or production applications which require high-speed test data streams for electrical/optical components or transmission systems. This BPG requires an AC supply and consumes less than 400 W of power.
