The VMNA-7250-9 from Vaunix is a 9-Port Mesh Network Attenuator System that operates from 700 to 7250 MHz. This bidirectional attenuator provides an attenuation range of 120 dB with a step size of over 0.1 dB and an attenuation accuracy of up to 4 dB. It has a switching speed of 2 µs, an insertion loss of 26 dB, and a VSWR of 1.50:1. This 9-port mesh attenuator system is a crossbar test instrument that can be easily customized and allows simple control of the signal levels between each port. It can be programmed for fixed attenuation, swept attenuation ramps, and fading profiles using Vaunix’s Windows API DLL files and Linux platforms.
This attenuator system is powered using a USB interface and can be controlled either via a USB or Ethernet interface through the rear panel of the system. It requires a DC supply of +5 V and consumes 550 mA of current. This mesh network attenuator is available in a rack-mount enclosure that measures 431.8 x 330.2 x 133.4 mm and has SMA (female) connectors. It is ideal for mesh network radio testing, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, 6G, MIMO, multi-point radio fading simulators, and automated test equipment (ATE) applications.
