The ALGA-50W from Alga Microwave is an X-band GaN BUC designed for VSAT and mobile station applications. It upconverts an input frequency from 950-1450 MHz to an output frequency from 7.9-8.4 GHz. The device provides 50 W of saturated output power (25 W linear) with a gain of 60 dB. It operates on two sets of DC (18-36 V) and (36-72 V) input voltage and consumes up to 250 W of power. The device features RF power detection circuitry, a mute controller, an over-temperature shutdown function, and a summary alarm. It supports a WEB interface, RS-485, RS232, Ethernet, dry contacts, M&C interface with SNMP monitoring.
This BUC is available in a compact package with a Type-N (F) connector at the input and WR112 waveguide with a CPR112G flange at the output. It measures 190 x 120 x 114 mm and is constructed as per IP65 ratings.
