The AMKL16 from AMKOM is a Ku-Band BUC that converts an input frequency from 950-1450 MHz to an output frequency from 12.75-13.25 GHz. It provides a saturated output power of 16 W (42 dBm) with a gain of over 68 dB. The BUC has an 11.80 GHz Local Oscillator (LO) with an external auto-sensing reference of 10 MHz. It requires a DC supply from 16-55 V and features an optional LED shut-off and field-replaceable (IP69K) silenced fans for stealth liner operation. The BUC supports Ethernet and RS-232/485 interfaces for serial communication.
The AMKL16 is designed using a tough aerospace-grade aluminum-based metal with excellent heat disposal properties. It is among the next generation of the World’s smallest feed-horn & boom-arm mountable BUCs in the industry with an absolute “No Corner Cutting” concept in design. The BUC uses mature, proven, efficient, and reliable GaAs + GaN High Power Amplifiers (HPA) with internal overdrive protection and precise linearization technique. It has an in-built receive band-reject filter with 60 dB suppression and uses anti-vibration technology to provide extreme stability and reliability.
This weatherproof, robust and lightweight BUC is available in a module that measures 152 x 94 x 74 mm with a N-type (50Ω)/F-type (75Ω) IF connectors and a WR75 waveguide interface at the output.
