The APKU80-XXXXX from AMKOM is a Ku-Band BUC that converts an input frequency from 950 - 1700 MHz to an output frequency from 13.75 - 14.50 GHz. It provides saturated output power up to 80 Watts with a gain of 78 dB. The BUC has a Fixed 13.05 GHz Local Oscillator with an external auto-sensing reference of 10 MHz. It requires an AC Voltage of 85-260V and has a LED Shut-off and field-replaceable silenced fan (IP68 150,000 hr) features for stealth liner operation. The BUC supports Ethernet and RS-232/485 interfaces for serial communication.
It is designed using a tough aerospace-grade aluminum-based metal with excellent heat disposal properties. They are the next generation of the World’s smallest feed-horn & boom-arm mountable BUC’s in the industry with an absolute “No Corner Cutting” concept in design. It has an in-built feature of receive band-reject filter with 20 dB suppression and has an anti-vibration technology for extreme stability and reliability.
The BUCs use mature, proven, efficient and reliable GaAs + GaN High Power Amplifiers with internal overdrive protection (HPA) and precise linearization technique. Each unit is rigorously tested and has a triple protection sealed waveguide output. The BUC exceeds all IESS-308/309 phase noise standards and are compliant with MIL-STD810E, MIL-STD810F and Method 514.5 C-2 Transport standards.
This weatherproof, robust and lightweight BUC weighs only 4.2 kg (9.2 lbs) and measures 215 x 132 x 114 mm.
