The CPKO1440SB from Communications & Power Industries is a Block Up Converter that converts an input frequency from 950 – 1700 MHz to 13.75 – 14.5 GHz. It combines an integrated L-band BUC and GaAs IMFET-based output section to provide a saturated power of 40 W with a gain of more than 60 dB. This converter has a 12.8 GHz local oscillator (LO) which has a phase noise of -110 dBc/Hz @ 1 MHz offset. It has an internal OXCO with remote fine frequency adjustment that is phase-lockable to an external reference. This BUC requires a DC supply of 20-56 V and consumes less than 275 W of power.
The CPKO1440SB has a built-in monitor with remote control and status monitoring functions provided via a serial link (RS-232/-422/-485). It is available in a lightweight, weatherized enclosure that measures 224 x 139 x 115 mm with an N-type (female) connector or WR75G waveguide interface. This converter is ideal for direct integration on the small aperture or field-deployable antenna applications.
