The SB50UAA from Communications and Power Industries is a Block Up Converter (BUC) that converts input frequencies (IF) from 950 to 1700 MHz to output frequencies (RF) from 13.75 to 14.50 GHz. It delivers an output power of more than 50 W (~47 dBm) with a gain of over 68 dB. This BUC has spurious levels of -60 dBc and a phase noise of -92 dBc/Hz (at 100 kHz offset). It includes control interfaces such as Ethernet, Telnet, Web, and SNMP and features built-in fault diagnostic capabilities via remote monitoring. This unit has a user-friendly microprocessor-controlled logic with an integrated Ethernet computer interface.
The SB50UAA is available in an ARINC-791-compliant module that measures 456.2 x 230.0 x 74.9 mm with TNC (female) input connectors and N-type (female) output connectors. It is ideal for airborne and satellite applications. This BUC requires a single-phase AC supply from 97 to 134 V and consumes less than 500 W of power.
