The Bobcat 40X from Comtech Xicom Technology is an X-band GaN SATCOM BUC that up-converts an input frequency from 950 - 1450 MHz to an output frequency from 7.9 - 8.4 GHz. It provides 20 W of linear output power for SATCOM uplinks with a gain of 55 dB and has a phase noise of -103 dBc/Hz @ 1 MHz offset. This BUC has a high efficiency GaN solid-state design that enables delivering high power in the toughest environments. It requires a DC supply from 22 - 56 V and draws a linear DC power of 120 W. The BUC has an Ethernet interface with an SNMP v3 option or Serial Rs-232. It is available in a rugged 116 cu inch enclosure that measures 3.9 x 5.1 x 5.8 inches.
