The Falcon 100Ku from Comtech Xicom Technology is a Ku-band SSPA+BUC that up-converts an input frequency from 950 - 1700 MHz to an output frequency from 13.75 – 14.5 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 100 W and a linear output power of 50 W with a gain of 70 dB. This lightweight and efficient BUC is based on a high-efficiency GaN solid-state design that delivers high power in the toughest environments. It has a phase noise of -103 dBc/Hz @1 MHz and harmonics of -60 dBc.
This DO-160 compliant BUC provides extensive data logging, attenuation control, full calibration capabilities, and web GUI features. It has an Ethernet control interface with an SNMP option or Serial RS-232. The Falcon 100Ku is available in an ARINC package that measures 9 x 14 x 2.95 inches and is ideal for SATCOM applications.
The BUC requires an AC supply of 100-120 V and draws a linear power of up to 420 W.
