The DBUC-30000-03 from EM Research is a Block Up Converter (BUC) that converts input frequencies from 1000-2000 MHz (IF) to output frequencies from 28-29 GHz (low-band) and 29-30 GHz (high-band). It delivers an output power of +5 dBm with a gain of 6 dB and provides an image rejection of up to -70 dBc. This converter has spurious levels of less than -60 dBc and a phase noise of -41 dBc/Hz (at 10 Hz offset). It is a dual-band solution that is part of EM Research’s wider signal conversion family with a wide choice of frequency range. This BUC includes a 10 MHz reference that is either muxed with L-band or provided as a separate input to the system. It requires a DC supply of 12 V and consumes 800 mA of current. This block upconverter is available in an Aluminum enclosure that measures 4.0 x 2.5 x 1.2 inches with SMK 2.92 mm (female) connectors and is ideal for laboratory testing and conversion and satellite communication applications.
