The Cube-X-40 from Mission Microwave is a Block Upconverter (BUC) that converts input frequencies from 950 – 1450 MHz to output frequencies from 7.9 – 8.4 GHz. It delivers an output power of up to 40 W (46 dBm) with a gain of more than 55 dB and has a phase noise of -103 dBc/Hz (@1 MHz offset). This BUC has an inbuilt variable attenuator with an attenuation range of 31 dB and can be adjusted in steps of 0.25 dB. It utilizes Mission Microwave’s proprietary power combining technology and thorough system optimization to achieve a compact form factor that can mount directly to the feed port of most satellite antennas. This BUC requires a DC supply from 22 to 54 V and consumes less than 145 W of power.
The Cube-X-40 includes RS-485, RS-232, or ethernet (optional) interfaces for monitoring and control (M&C) and can be remote-controlled. it is available in an IP67-rated weatherproof module that measures 8.2 x 4.7 x 2.9 inches and weighs 1.1 Kg.
