The ATOMBKUG080S1 from Norsat is a Ku-band GaN Block Up Converter (BUC) that converts IF frequencies from 950-1450 MHz to output frequencies from 14-14.5 GHz. It has an LO frequency of 13.05 GHz. This BUC delivers a saturated output power of more than 49 dBm (80 W) and linear power of more than 46 dBm and up to 70 dB of gain. It has a phase noise of 103 dBc/Hz (at 1 MHz offset), a noise power density of -90 dBm/Hz in Tx, and -144 dBm/Hz in Rx. The BUC has an output spurious of less than -60 dBc and a VSWR of less than 2.6:1. It requires a DC supply of +18 to +56 V and consumes less than 370 W of power. The BUC can be controlled via RS-485, RS-232, and Ethernet interfaces. It is available in a MIL-STD-810 compliant module that measures 160 x 95 x 166 mm with a waterproof N-Type input connector and WR-75 waveguide grooved output interface.
