The FG131-NA from Fibocom is a 5G Sub-6 GHz Communications Module that has been designed for the North American markets. It complies with 3GPP Release 17 standard and adds several new networking features and capabilities, including speed/terminal transmitting power and optimized power consumption. This module includes an SDX35 5G RedCap chipset with a built-in GNSS antenna and supports 5G standalone (SA) architectures to cater to fixed wireless access (FWA) applications. It delivers a data rate of up to 223 Mbps (downlink)/123 Mbps (uplink) in the NR (SA) mode and 195 Mbps (downlink)/75 Mbps (uplink) in the LTE mode.
The FG131-NA is equipped with a rich set of internet protocols and multiple industry-standard interfaces such as UART USB 2.0, PCIe Gen 2, and USIM for control. This 5G module supports Fibocom’s enhanced AT command set for development on Linux, Android, or Windows OS. It requires a DC supply from 3.3 to 4.4 V. This RoHS-compliant module is available in a land grid array (LGA) package that measures 37.00 x 39.50 x 2.65 mm.
