The RG255C Series from Quectel are 5G RedCap Modules based on 3GPP Release 17 RedCap technology. They support 5G standalone (SA) modes and are backward-compatible with the 4G network. These modules support a theoretical peak data rate of 150 Mbps (downlink) and 50 Mbps (uplink), while also supporting advanced 5G features such as URLLC and power saving. They are designed for the global market and cover nearly all the mainstream carriers worldwide. These modules have integrated GNSS with support for L1+L5 precise and power-optimized positioning.

The RG255C series modules include a rich set of internet protocols, industry-standard interfaces (USB 2.0, PCIe 2.0, SGMII, I2C, GPIO, etc.), and abundant functionalities (USB drivers for Windows, Linux, and Android). They are available in LGA packages and are suitable for a wide range of applications, such as industrial automation, smart cities, smart energy, wearable devices, and mid-speed mobile broadband devices.
