The LE270-EU from Fibocom is an LTE Cat1.bis Wireless Communication Module that has been designed for battery-powered IoT applications. The LE270-EU delivers a data rate of 10.3 Mbps (DL) and 5.1 Mbps (UL) on LTE FDD, while on LTE TDD, it delivers a data rate of 9.1 Mbps (DL) and 3.1 Mbps (UL). It can be controlled using SPI, ADC, GPIO, USB, and I2S interfaces and also offers support for DFOTA for firmware upgrades. This module includes both Linux and Windows OS drivers, providing greater flexibility. It uses TCP/UDP, HTTP, ECM, RNIDS, and SSL/TLS network protocols.
The LTE270-EU requires a DC supply of 3.8 V and has a low power consumption that significantly optimizes both connected and DRX standby power consumption to suit the demands of various industries. It is available in an LCC + LGA package that measures 17.7 x 15.8 x 2.4 mm and is ideal for trackers, IPCs, shared devices, security monitoring trackers, vehicle-mounted devices, smoke alarms, and general payment systems applications.
