The Calliope VZ120Q from Sequans Communications is an LTE Cat 1 Module that operates on LTE Bands 4 and 13. It is based on the Sequans Calliope LTE platform that is compliant to 3GPP Release 10 and is software-upgradeable to Release 11. It includes an LTE-optimized transceiver and a complete dual-band RF front-end for LTE bands 4 and 13. The module is multi-band FDD & TDD capable and supports VoLTE, location-based services, and Wi-Fi SoftAP. It is GCF compliant and is certified with the Verizon Wireless Open Network specifications. This module can be easily paired with a GNSS solution for asset and IoT tracking.
The Calliope VZ120Q includes Sequans’ carrier-proven LTE protocol stack, an IMS client, and a comprehensive software package for over-the-air device management and packet routing. It delivers a downlink data rate of up to 10 Mbps and an uplink data rate of up to 5 Mbps. This module has extremely low power consumption at a low cost for industry-leading price/performance. It can be controlled via USB 2.0, SDIO 3.0 host, SPI, high-speed UART, PCM-TDM, and I2S (audio) interfaces. It is compatible with Linux, Android, Windows, and a wide range of embedded and real-time OS. This module is available in an LGA package that measures 20.0 x 21.0 x 1.5 mm and is ideal for IoT and M2M applications.
