The RM521F-GL from Quectel is a 5G NR Sub-6 GHz Module that has been optimized for IoT/eMBB applications. It is based on the 3GPP Release 16 technology, supporting both 5G NSA and SA modes. This module is industrial-grade and is ideal for industrial and commercial applications. It covers nearly all the mainstream carriers worldwide for both 5G and LTE-A. This module integrates Qualcomm’s IZat location technology Gen9C Lite that supports GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, and QZSS constellations for fast and accurate positioning in any environment. It has an integrated GNSS receiver which greatly simplifies the product design while ensuring accurate performance.
The RM521F-GL is compatible with Quectel 5G module RM50xQ series, LTE-A Cat 6 module EM06, Cat 12 modules EM12, EM12xR, and EM120K series, and Cat 16 module EM160R-GL, which facilitates customers migration from LTE-A to 5G mode. It supports a rich set of internet protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, and SMS along with industry-standard interfaces such as USB 2.0/3.0/3.1 and PCIe 3.0 for Windows, Linux, and Android OS. This 5G module delivers a data rate of 4 Gbps (DL) and 550 Mbps (UL) in 5G NSA mode and a data rate of 4 Gbps (DL) and 900 Mbps (UL) in 5G SA mode.
The RM521F-GL requires a DC supply from 3.135 to 4.4 V. It is available in an M.2 industry-standard package that measures 30.0 x 52.0 x 2.3 mm and is ideal for industrial router, home gateway, STB, industrial laptop, consumer laptop, industrial PDA, rugged tablet PC, and digital signage applications.
