The SC682A Series from Quectel are LTE Cat 4 Smart Modules that support worldwide LTE, UMTS/HSPA+ and GSM/GPRS/EDGE bands. They are based on a Qualcomm octa-core and 64-bit ARM v8.0 compliant application processor with a built-in Adreno 610 GPU and have built-in Android OS. These modules are designed to support high performance, various multimedia features, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and Quick Charge 3.0 technology. It also supports Bluetooth 5.1 (BR/EDR + BLE) and IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.
The SC682A Series modules use multiple antennas at the receiver end on the same frequency band to greatly minimize errors and optimize the data speed. They also combine high-speed wireless connectivity with embedded dual-band multi-constellation and high-sensitivity GNSS (GPS/GLONASS/BDS/Galileo/QZSS) receivers for positioning applications requiring fast and accurate fixes in any environment.
The SC682A Series modules can be controlled via LCM, camera, touch panel, MIC, SPK, UART, USB, I2C, and SPI interfaces. They are available in an LCC + LGA package that measures 43.0 x 44.0 x 2.85 mm. These modules are ideal for a wide range of M2M applications, including smart POS, smart cash registers, smart home gateways, smart robots, smart wearables, smart safety, PDAs & tablets.
