The RN94xx from Rolling Wireless are 5G Modules with 4G (LTE Cat19)/3G/2G fallback designed for automotive applications. These modules are tested to the automotive industry’s toughest specifications. They provide a host of enhancements for automotive applications, including support for 5G Release-16, a high-performance multicore application processor, an integrated hardware engine for security features, and ASIL safety support. The modules have a quad-core ARM Cortex A55 application processor with dedicated Flash and RAM running Legato® for enhanced security. They also have options with support for C-V2X, LTE-V2X Rel-15 and NR-V2X Rel-16.
The RN94xx 5G Modules include various interfacing options such as USB, PCIe 3.0, SGMII, etc. They include a large set of security features like Secure Boot, Secure Storage, Integrity checks, and Access control and are UN-ECE WP29 ready. These modules are available in automotive-grade packages that measure 45.0 x 45.0 x 3.3 mm and have an operating temperature range from -40°C to +95°C.
