The EM7690 from Sierra Wireless is a 4G LTE Cat-20 Module with a 3G fallback for global applications. It is 3GPP Rel-15 compliant, and delivers a peak download data rate of 2 Gbps and a peak upload data rate of 211 Mbps. This module has an integrated GNSS receiver that supports Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, and Beidou bands. It is certified by the FCC for CBRS private networks and supports worldwide coverage with AT&T (FirstNet), Verizon, NTT Docomo, and T-Mobile. The module has an embedded SIM to simplify and add flexibility to IoT deployments and also supports carrier profile, M2M eUICC, and consumer eUICC. It has a Dual SIM single standby (DSSS) feature that switches between networks quickly to stay connected and a secure boot feature that prevents unauthorized code on the target to keep connectivity secure.
The EM7690 can be controlled via USB 3.1 and PCIe gen 3/2 interfaces. It is available in an industrial-grade package that measures 30.00 x 52.00 x 2.38 mm and is ideal for industrial M2M and mobile computing applications.
