The Y7028 from SIMCom is a Multi-Band NB-IoT Module that supports Cat-NB2 Bands. It is designed for applications that require low latency, low throughput data communication in a variety of radio propagation conditions. This module delivers an uplink data rate of 159 Kbps and a downlink data rate of 127 Kbps.
The module supports Power Save Mode (PSM) and Extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX) energy-saving features that can extend its battery life to 10 years. It requires a DC supply from 2.2 to 4.2 V, consumes 0.16 mA of current in idle mode and 1 μA of current in PSM mode.
The Y7028 can be controlled via UART, USIM card (1.8/3V), Netlight, RI, Reset, ADC, GPIO and WARKUP interfaces. It is available in a package that measures 17.6 x 15.7 x 2.1 mm and is ideal for M2M applications, such as metering, asset tracking, remote monitoring and e-health.
