The ME7873LA from Anritsu is an LTE-Advanced RF Conformance Test System that operates from 617 to 5925 MHz. It is certified to LTE 3CA PTCRB, LTE 3CA GCF, and LTE 5CA PTCRB. This test system has been designed to automate RF and RRM tests for various mobile devices supporting the latest 3GPP standards. It consists of an MD8430A signaling tester (acting as an LTE base station simulator) that can be configured from various test instruments and dedicated software. This test system is a fully 3GPP-compliant solution and can be used to test almost all mobiles across all standards-compliant frequency bands worldwide.
The ME7873LA can test the RF Tx/Rx characteristics, performance requirements, and RRM performance of FDD/TDD LTE mobile terminals in compliance with the requirements of certain 3GPP specifications in terms of Channel State Information, Tx/Rx characteristics, MBMS performance, and also performs LTE –GSM/UMTS/CDMA2000/TD-SCDMA Inter-RAT tests. It also supports other test procedures such as LTE-Advanced Pro, Cat-M, NB-IoT, and HPUE.
This conformance test system includes four interfaces that allow it to test up to 4 terminals simultaneously. It integrates the DC power supply with serial control line auto-switching which enables fully-automated testing of multiple terminals. The ME7873LA has a built-in PC server that can be remotely operated, and measurement progress and sequences can be monitored, created, and edited remotely. It offers basic calibration at acceptance inspection, auto-calibration at work start, and individual measurement correction to prevent thermal or temperature drifts and improve both system measurement stability and reliability.
The test system software has a task plane that offers easy creation and editing of test cases and sequences with a histogram display that helps understand detailed mobile operation trends for RRM tests. It displays measurement progress using the signaling tester and exchanges messages between the device-under-test (DUT) and the tester to also display failed results, enabling easy problem troubleshooting. This system measures 1710 x 1980 x 797 mm with N-type connectors and is ideal for LTE-Advanced mobile terminal testing applications. It requires an AC supply of 100-120 V or 200-240 V and consumes less than 7700 W of power.
