The ELAD-10 from Elbit Systems is a Tactical Data-Link System that is designed for long-range aerial platforms. It operates in S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, and Ku-Band frequencies and delivers a data rate of up to 45 Mbps at a range of 300 Km. The system smoothly transmits analog or high-definition video and audio from the platform payload to ground stations, while receiving IP sources and audio from the ground. It can easily connect to four video sources simultaneously and provides H.264 video encoding-decoding features that support PAL/NTSC, HD-SDI.
The ELAD-10 uses a wideband Ethernet connection that supports multiple payloads and several IP sources. It provides optimal performance in challenging conditions as the MRC diversity technique is fortified by full-duplex (uplink and downlink) using Time Division Duplexing (TDD) or Frequency Division Duplexing (FDD). In addition to the application of advanced CTC-FEC error correction techniques, antenna diversity is incorporated to enable reliable communications and superior spatial coverage.
This data link complies with the requisite international regulations including flight safety standards DO-178 and DO-254 and has undergone MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-461E environmental testing. It is available in an enclosure that measures 308 x 265 x 250 mm and consumes under 310 W of power. The ELAD-10 is the ideal line-of-sight (LOS) data-link system for MALE/HALE UAVs, USVs, mission helicopters, manned mission aircraft, and other long-range platforms.
