The THPR1055 from Triad RF Systems is a 4-channel High-Power Radio that operates from 2200 to 2500 MHz. It combines Silvus Streamcaster SC4410-235-O OEM form-factor radio with Triad’s high-power RF subsystems in a low SwaP package. This radio consists of RF components such as bidirectional amplifiers (BDAs), RF filtering, and control circuitry to achieve higher RF output power, greater throughput, and greater link distances than standalone radios. It includes two LEDs associated with each pair of RF channels to independently provide the status of the components. The radio requires a single DC supply of +28 V and consumes less than 8 A (low data rate) and 4 A (high data rate) of current.
The THPR1055 is ideal for maritime high-throughput LOS/NLOS systems, point-to-point mesh networking, UAV, UGV, and USV radio/video links, and military MANET applications. It delivers an output power of 16 W (low data rate, per channel) and 4 W (high data rate, per channel). It cools the system based on conduction/convection, and forced-air mechanism, and requires a separate fan for cooling and support. This radio has undergone shock and vibration tests as per MIL-STD-810 standards for high reliability. It is available in an IP66-rated module that measures 9.0 x 4.7 x 3 inches with TNC (female) connectors.
