The XT-200 from Colby Instruments is a Programmable Delay Line that provides wideband electrical signal delay (phase shift) with excellent resolution from DC to 18 GHz. The delay line combines dual electro-mechanical trombones separately and in parallel to offer 0 to 625.0 ps of total delay in each channel of a dual-channel unit. Each trombone/channel is independently controlled and can be independently addressed. An internal stepper motor produces precise delay steps with a resolution to 0.50 ps when operated in the series-connected mode. The XT-200 offers industry-leading performance for demanding applications where the completely wideband passive delay is required across the entire signal path.
The delay settings and instrument control can be specified remotely via Ethernet TCP/IP or RS-232 protocols. All connections in the XT-200 are exposed on the front panel to allow for maximum configuration flexibility and an existing web browser can be used to control the instrument and set the desired delay settings. The XT-200 is available in a 2U cabinet with a rackmount option that measures 16.75 x 12.00 x 3.50 inches with an optional MT-100A Micro-terminal (LCD panel and numeric keypad) that offers manual entry of the desired delay characteristics.
