R&S®MP007 Image

The R&S MP007 is a Direction-Finding System that operates from 20 MHz to 6 GHz. It is an integrated device consisting of the R&S DDF007 portable direction finder or the R&S PR200 portable monitoring receiver and the R&S ADDx07 compact DF antennas. The device can be used as a stationary or mobile DF station or as a portable manual direction finder and can be reconfigured with ease to meet various requirements. It is useful for applications such as search/rescue operations in difficult terrains, locating radio interference sources, radio monitoring at large events, and protection of friendly forces during out-of-area missions.

The R&S MP007 functions include the IF panorama mode, spectrum monitoring, signal demodulation, and signal analysis. The IF panorama mode can reliably detect signal variations or events with extremely short durations with high resolution and can perform panoramic spectral scans as fast as 2 GHz/s. It can demodulate signals with a bandwidth of up to 500 kHz and outputs them as I/Q data that can be used in signal analysis. An optional control computer can be used in receive mode to analyze, classify, demodulate and decode signals with different types of modulation.

The R&S MP007 features the R&S®RAMON user interface which has been adapted to meet the requirements of having a small screen size and to be controlled without a mouse and keyboard. The modular design of the control software makes it easy to extend the system's functional range.

The R&S MP007 is available in a rugged enclosure with/without a Li-ion battery and also includes a backpack version that comes with charging electronics, cable & battery. It requires an AC supply of 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz with an external power supply unit or a DC supply of 20-30 V.
