The GMDA-D1003 from Planar Monolithics Industries is a Detection Log Video Amplifier that operates from 7 to 18 GHz. It has a dynamic range from -70 dBm to +5 dBm, a TSS (Tangential signal sensitivity) of -75 dBm, and a nominal video bandwidth of 12 MHz. This video amplifier has a log slope of 25 mV/dB and a video rise time of less than 30 ns with a throughput time of 30 ns. It requires a DC supply of ±12 V and consumes less than 300 mA of current. The DLVA is designed using GaAs technology that provides excellent performance and reliability. It is available in a module that measures 2.90 x 3.00 x 0.50 inches with SMA-female connectors.
