The RESA S Ku from ReQuTech is a Flat-Panel Phased Array Antenna Terminal that operates from 10.7 to 12.7 GHz (Rx) and 13.75 to 14.5 GHz (Tx). It has a fully-integrated satellite terminal that is suitable for SATCOM-On-The-Move LEO/MEO/GEO communication. This lightweight terminal can be used either as a standalone product or mesh configuration with several RESA terminals. It offers electronically scanned pointing and tracking of targets over the Ku-band and includes a dedicated antenna control unit with a full sensor kit (beacon receiver, GPS, and IMU). The terminal also integrates a modem that allows for both internal and external installation and provides a rugged design, making it suitable for maritime operation.
The RESA S Ku requires a DC supply of 24 V, consumes 12 A of current, and 280 W of power. It is equipped with MIL-DTL-5015 2-pin connectors for DC power and RJ45 Ethernet ports for control and communication. This circularly-polarized (LHCP/RHCP) terminal has an azimuth beamwidth of 360°, an elevation beamwidth from 0° to 60°, and ITU-R S.465-compliant patterns. It has a pointing stability of better than 0.05° and a tracking error of less than 0.05 dB. This terminal provides an EIRP of up to 36 dBW and has a G/T of 9.3 dB/K. It is available in an IP67-rated enclosure that measures 59 x 37 x 13 cm and has an operating temperature range from -20 to +55°C.
