The FieldMan from Narda Safety Test Solutions is an Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Meter that operates from DC to 90 GHz. It is designed to conduct precise measurements of electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic fields to establish human safety, particularly in workplace environments where such fields are more likely to occur. This EMF meter can be used to ensure that products comply with general safety regulations such as FCC, IEEE, ICNIRP or EMF Directive 2013/35/EU. It includes an ultrasonic distance measurement sensor, brightness sensor, brilliant color display, E/H field probe connector, LED indicators, interface slots, function keys, and other buttons to allow for remote control operations.

The FieldMan enables non-directional measurement using isotropic probes and uses a digital probe interface for broadband measurements which eliminates the need for meter calibration. It features a large, anti-glare HD color display to indicate measured values numerically and graphically. It measures field strength behavior via sophisticated time signal recording in real-time or spectral frequency analysis of low-frequency fields and allows results to be commented on by text or voice and saved as a screen copy by pushing the button. This EMF meter also organizes measurement results into freely definable projects, which is particularly useful when measurement locations change frequently.

This EMF meter precisely measures the height above the ground using an ultrasonic distance meter and provides an accuracy of within 1 cm, a capture angle of 15 ° with a range of up to 4 meters, and eliminates the need for separate ruler-based measurements. It uses a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth interface connected to a smartphone app that allows the user to document results with photos and videos and wirelessly transfer media files to the project directory on the micro-SD memory card. It employs powerful Narda-TSX PC software to document these results and other information and perform device configuration, data evaluation, and documentation.

This EMF meter uses an optical interface, Ethernet, and USB to transfer data. It measures 51 x 93 x 312 mm and is ideal for radio-communication base stations, broadcasting systems, radar, induction heating and melting, railway and automotive environment, energy supply systems, medical electrical equipment, and household applications.
