The SC801A from SignalCore is a Broadband CW Signal Frequency Synthesizer that generates an output frequency from 625 MHz to 10.0 GHz. It has a frequency resolution of 1 MHz and a tuning speed of less than 500 µs. It delivers up to 7 dBm of output power with a phase noise of less than -115 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset, sideband spurious levels of fewer than 60 dBc, and harmonics of less than -65 dBc.
This synthesizer is based on a multi-loop architecture that improves phase noise over those that utilize single loop integer-N or fractional-N synthesizers by 15-20 dB. It uses the additional capability of sweep/list mode that makes it useful for applications ranging from automated test systems to telecommunication equipment and scientific research labs. It integrates 3 communication interfaces - USB, SPI, and UART (RS 232) to enable communication with other connected devices.
