The SKY66121-11 from Skyworks is a Tx/Rx Front-End Module that operates from 169 to 170 MHz. The Tx part consists of a power amplifier that provides an output power of over 30 dBm and the Rx part consists of an SPDT switch that has an insertion loss of 0.9 dB. This FEM requires a DC supply of 3.6 V and draws a current of less than 1 μA in sleep mode. It has three separate VCC pins that enable maximum RF isolation. The FEM is available in a 16-pin multi-chip module (MCM) package that measures 4 x 4 mm with an antenna interface and is ideal for automated meter reading, advanced metering infrastructure, and ISM system applications.
